I agreed to take my wife to Manassas yesterday for a 7:30am hair appt. Can you believe that ? Had to get up at 6:30 on a Saturday to drive 30 minutes for some hair coloring. It was worth it. I got to see my neice's hair salon finally. And also I got to walk around downtown Manassas for about 30 minutes during a lull in the rain.
This guy. Nice guy. I saw him first riding his bike to the train station. They always say you need to stretch your boundaries, and face your fears. Get out of the comfort zone etc.. if you want to grow. So I mustered the cajones to go up to him and ask him if I can take his picture. I told him he's just an interesting looking guy and I'm working on a project or something to that affect. He was very nice and said I could.
Most of the shots I took with the manual focus lens were out of focus because I was nervous. Then while shooting the breeze with him I was able to shoot this one. I like it. It sticks. I need to do this more and build on this little experience !
The train depot. Looks like something from the past.
This one of an old grainery, I like the color and the black and white. So I'll post both. The B&W helps contribute to the "back in time".
I got turned around for a second on some backroads and saw this quaint little house !!
